Organic Lifestyle | Healthy Juicing Tips

I get a lot of questions about juicing. I started juicing on August 1, 2013 and I've lost 25 lbs. Not only does my body have amazing energy it's also made my mind so clear. There's nothing healthier or sexier than a body that feels good!!

Now onto questions I've been getting...

1. Why juice?

Juicing is an amazing way to get nutrients into your body that you wouldn't ordinarily get. Some of us don't like eating that many veggies, so this is a way to get them into your body in a quick and efficient way.

2. What's the difference between juicing and blending?

Blending just grinding up the fiber and keeps it in the juice which is great if you want to feel full longer. Blending is good if that's all you've got, but juicing is way better for your body. Juicing extracts nutrients and water from vegetables making it easier to ingest. This is better for your digestive system, particularly if you have a sensitive digestive tract. If you want to feel full longer, then I suggest adding chia seeds to your juice after you've used your juicer. You don't want those chia seeds to burn up your juicer.

Warning: If you are juicing you extracting the essential nutrients from a fruit or vegetable and for that reason I recommend only using one fruit in your juice. If you juiced a lot of fruits then that would be a sugar overload for ill patients.

3. What kind of juicer should I buy?

That's the best question to ask. I recommend the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and Breville juicers. Both are excellent juicers. If you buy a cheap juicer it's apt to die on you in just a few juicings. You need a powerful motor because you'll be juicing like crazy once you see how good your body feels.

4. What do I juice?

I like to juice everything from kale, dandelion greens, collard greens, swiss chard (in any variety), cilantro, carrots, cucumbers (absolutely essential), celery, beets and their greens, parsley, and ONE large apple. Of course, you don't juice all this at once, but I buy all of this for one week of juicing.

Here's a sample recipe:
Ingredients
1 bunch of kale
4 handfuls of baby spinach
5 carrots
1 large cucumber
1 large apple
ginger

Makes 4 c. of juice.

5. What should I buy for one week of juicing?

Here's an example of my shopping list:
7 cucumbers
7 large apples
1 lb. bag of carrots
1 stalk of celery
1 bunch of beets
1 bunch of cilantro
4 bunches of kale
1 bunch of swiss chard
1 lb. baby spinach
hand size of ginger

6. How do I prepare my veggies?

First, clean your veggies. Fill your sink with water. Add 1/3 c. Bragg's Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. Add in your veggies and leave to soak for 10-15 min. Empty the water and then rinse them.

Next, slice the ends of your cucumbers and then down the middle lengthwise. Cut your apple in fours and cut out the seeds. Seeds aren't good for you or your juicer.

7. How do I juice?

Start with the kale or the greens. Gently push it into the juicer, one stalk at a time. If the green is too big, then cut it and put it in. I usually do celery next since the water in that vegetable pushes out the rest of the bits of kale. Then I do the carrots, the apple, and the ginger and then I do the cucumber last. The cucumber will clean out your juicer of all the nutrients that are still lingering in there.

8. Do you have any juicing tips?

I have three very important ones to remember. ONE: JUICE IN THE MORNING BEFORE YOU EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING ELSE. The nutrients get absorbed into your body faster and that's the very best thing you can do for your body. You've already taken the step to learn that juicing is essential for your health, but it's even better if you follow this particular tip.

TWO: ONLY MAKE WHAT YOU THINK YOU'LL DRINK. YOU SHOULDN'T SAVE YOUR JUICE. The nutrients from juicing are on a time frame. You can't put it into your refrigerator and expect it to have the same benefits as it does Right after you juice. Here's more about the topic.

THREE: ONLY BUY ORGANIC. Most people know about genetically modified organisms. There's absolutely no nutrition in them, but some people forget to remind you that conventional produce is almost as bad for you because it contains harmful pesticides that can't be washed off even with the method described in this post. I'm assuming that you're thinking about juicing because it's healthy, but if you're going to juice conventional vegetables then you might as well not juice at all.

9. Do you recommend juicing for weight loss?

Yes and no. Yes, juicing will help you lose weight, but if you're doing it to lose weight then that's not the only reason to do it. My number one reason for juicing was that it made me feel healthier. A smaller waistline will do that, too, but your focus should be on increasing your vitality. Weight loss will come with that goal, too.

10. How many times a week should I juice?

I juice every single morning, but sometimes I even juice twice a day if I feel like my body needs it. There are some that suggest juicing as a detox program at first and that's a good idea if you can do it. Honestly, at first, your body will be full from juicing 4 cups at a time. If you decide to juice for three days then you'll need a lot of vegetables. You'll probably juice three times a day and I suggest eating raw vegetables only to aid in your detox. I haven't done a three day fast yet, but it's next on my list.

Happy juicing, folks. I hope you'll give it a chance. Give it one week and if you don't feel better then at least you've tried it!!!

Eat to Live. Don't live to eat.

Organic Lifestyle | Growing a GMO Free ARMY

I've been going out a lot lately. I just want to experience life and I can't do that from my apartment. Sometimes you just need people.  A few people to tell you what's what and make you laugh out of your mind.

So, tonight I visited Haymaker with a friend and it was FUN. Now I'm going to proceed to review it...the beer selection is nice. Very nice. All my IPA LOVIN' friends would be happy as well as my dark ale buds. The bar was neighborly but with that Austin edge.

They are a fresh new neighborhood bar off of Manor Road by the university. Pretty edgy and they have like 10 big ass tV's in the bar area. In a separate area they have a couple of pool tables I'd sure like to hustle. Hehehe

Their menu is shit. Full of meat and GMOs. I ate nothing. If I could've chosen one thing on the menu I would've chosen the pretzels. Just because it didn't have meat, LOL

I had a Blue Moon and a Brooklyn Lager. I love Blue Moon. I mean, they put a sweet orange slice in it...what's not to like, right? Thursday nights they have $2 off whiskeys and $1 off drafts so my beers were pretty cheap tonight!

So, I'm going to share with you how I choose my beers. I'm not a scientist. All beer is questionable because there are absolutely NO labels for beer or alcohol. It's all about what you know. I know that craft beers are apt to be more GMO free than anything else, so I try not to drink my old usual: Dos XX. I have to say that I missed it at first, but now I really like the variety. I like Mexican beers. I love the salt and lime that used to dress it. I like Victoria, but they no longer carry it at my favorite place, so I've been experimenting. I really like Stella and Fireman's 4, but I just tried Amstel Light and I liked it a lot, too.

Now, a note about restaurant ordering...You need to choose the very best item on the menu. Carefully weigh your choices before deciding. You should think about what you've decided you can and WON'T eat. I'm a no meat product girl and I still eat fish, so I look for something to accommodate that. If I don't know what's organic on the menu then I call over the manager. Yeah, I actually do that. If we don't ask for what we want, then we will never get it. They need to hear from you, the consumer, about why you want. If you don't ask then they will assume that the public doesn't care. It's through episodes such as these that the industry learns to listen to it's customer.

I've actually learned a bit about some of our restaurants in the area. Mostly mexican restaurants as I love a fresh squeezed margarita. Trudy's has organic, non-GMO menu items. Their mexican martini is toooooo die for, but you can only have TWO. They are potent! If you like a more traditional mexican flavor, then you should try Mi Madre's. That place offers more organic and local vegetables and they have MIMOSAS. The owner is slowly switching over to all organic and I believe he will soon join the grassfed revolution.

Austin, TX is coming around to our way of thinking, we just need to lead them there. Will you join our GMO Free Army?!

Organic Lifestyle | 7 Ways to Detox Naturally and LIVE!

Like most of you, I am in the process of healing my body from the inside out. I knew that I had to detox ASAP to get all the toxins out of my body. When I asked my medical doctor if I should juice to detox faster he told me that wasn't necessary, that my body would eliminate any toxins in my body naturally. I thought about that, but that's not good enough for me. I want my body to be a super machine. I want to feel great from sunup to sundown. I want to feel like my body is capable of anything I set it to do.

1. An Herbal Cleanse

So, I decided to start with an herbal cleanse that I found at my natural health food store. I started taking the Thisilyn Cleanse over a week ago. A couple of days ago I felt like my body was fighting a war inside my body. I started breaking out with acne and I felt super tired, so I decided to up my game.

2. Warm Lemon Water Twice a Day
I have been drinking warm lemon water and honey. I call it Lemon Tea. I slice up an organic lemon and put a couple of slices in a mug with warm water (it shouldn't be HOT) and a tsp of raw honey. I drink a cup in the morning when I wake and a cup in the evening right before bed. By drinking it in the morning it helps get the digestion process going. It also works while you sleep and that's why I take it right before I go to sleep. It helps you eliminate toxins in your body, boosts your immune system, balances your pH, acts as a natural diuretic, clears your skin, hydrates the lymph system, and aids in digestion. I feel like a different person since I've been doing this. I started doing this a couple of months ago and I feel so much better since I have!

3. Echinecea Tea

Kava Kava is pictured, but not necessary in this tea. Kava Kava helps anxiety and is a sleep aid.

To combat fatigue and feeling like I'm going to keel over with an infection due to the cleanse, I've also been super charging my body with echinacea tea, GSE and colloidal silver. I buy organic loose echinacea from my natural grocery store. I use a tea ball and I drink it nightly when I'm feeling really fatigued. I add 10 drops of GSE and 2-3 drops of colloidal silver to boost my immune system. Please note that colloidal silver should only be taken when you think you need a little boost, not on a regular basis.

4. ACV

Another thing I've been doing to boost my immunity is drinking ACV. This is one of very first things I did on my health journey and I haven't stopped because it's THE BOMB! Nothing else has boosted my immune system like ACV. I make it myself. It keeps me healthy. My ACV recipe contains turmeric and ginger juice.

5. Cut down on meat.
It's not enough just to do these things. You also have to carefully choose what you eat.  In Monika's post, Prevent Cancer Now!, she talks about pH levels. High pH levels can cause you to have too much acid in your body and that creates a breeding ground for cancer and other diseases. I have taken the stance that I will only consume meat once a day. This includes all meat: chicken, pork, fish, and dairy products. I know that this isn't for everyone, but if you have disease in your body like I do, then you really need to follow this particular advice.

6. Juice
By juicing you are ingesting all of this nutritional goodness quickly and efficiently. Your body will love you for it!

I decided to juice and tried Mota Juice. I liked it! When you juice you are removing the fiber and that helps the body access nutrients faster. In fact, juicing any or all these vegetables are important for preventing cancer. Your body craves nutrients and this is the very best way to get them into your body. Juicing floods your body with enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Take a look at this picture and think think about how long it would take you to eat all this. Wouldn't it be better to juice to get these nutrients in your body immediately?

Pretty Red Mota Juice

I felt more energized, so I decided to take it a step further and I went to town on what vegetables I juiced!! I've read that it's important to mix up your juice (just like your workouts) every once in a while so your body doesn't get used to it.  I added swiss chard, beets, and cilantro. Swiss chard has so many nutritional benefits like blood sugar regulation, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and it supports bone health. Beets' has nutritional benefits like folic acid and it's high on the cancer prevention list. Cilantro helps prevent urinary tract infections and has antibacterial effects on both bacterial and fungal infections. It also purifies water. Note: If you juice swiss chard and beets your urine will be red. Don't be alarmed, it's just cleaning you out!

Ingredients
1 bunch of Organic Kale
1 bunch of Organic Swiss Chard
1 bunch of Organic Cilantro
4 stalks of Organic Celery
5 Organic Carrots
1 Organic Beet and the greens attached to it
3 handfuls of Organic Spinach
1 large Organic Cucumber
2 large Organic Red Delicious apples

Instructions
Juice them in any order, but I do recommend cutting the cucumber up into 4 pieces and using it when your juicer gets a little stuck after the kale. It will wash all the nutrients out of your juicer, too. The celery, carrots, and apples will do the same.

7. Get some sun!

If you're a sun lover like me then that's not a problem, but if you hate being in the sun then you need to slather on some coconut oil as a sun protectant and get yourself outside! Nothing will give you vitamin D more than the sun. Vitamin D is beneficial because it is an immune system regulator, it will keep your bones strong and it will help you regulate your body weight.

LIVE IT UP!
I hope you will consider what methods I've been using in your own health regime. These seven tips are a must whether you are getting over some health issues or you're trying to stay healthy. While eating a GMO free diet is important, so is going the extra mile. These tips will increase your vitality, thereby increasing your joy of LIFE. You only live once! How you choose to live that life is up to you.

Recipe | CC's ACV

ACV is AMAZING! I've never felt as good in my own body as I have since I've been taking it on a regular basis. ACV boosts your immune system like no other thing on earth. The ACV and the ginger in it will also help with inflammation and the turmeric in CC's ACV will help to detoxify your liver.

Some people say you should drink it with a straw so prevent the enamel on your teeth from being ruined, but I say that you can do that as long as it's a GLASS  or STAINLESS STEEL straw. There's no point in making this if you're going to poison your body with a plastic straw because this drink is all about HEALTH.

CC's ACV

There are a lot of recipes out there. This is my own. I modify it every week as to what my body needs. For example this week I added 20 drops of GSE and some homemade Vitamin C.

Ingredients
1.5 inch nob of Organic Ginger Root*
(3) 1 inch nobs of Organic Turmeric Root*
1 gal. of Purified Water
1 c. Organic 100% Apple Juice
1 c. Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp. Organic Cinnamon powder
3-4 TB. Raw Local Honey

Instructions
Juice* the ginger and turmeric. Boil some water. In the glass bowl (with the juiced turmeric and ginger) add your honey and cinnamon and then pour on the boiling water. This will help the honey dissolve properly. Then those ingredients along with the rest of the ingredients in a gallon container and mix.

*If you don't have a juicer, then you can simply chop up the roots and add them to boiling water and let them steep, but juicing is better as it gives your body direct nutrients faster. Also, if you can't find organic turmeric root at your natural health food store, then consider using 2 tsp. of organic turmeric powder instead.

I drink one to two cups a day to help my immune system. It is also helpful with indigestion and tummy trouble. I make it every single week. It's a useful home remedy that one should always have on hand!

Organic Lifestyle | What's Wrong with Plastic?

I was recently given a book about toxicity called Detoxify or Die and it changed my life. I started to think about all the ways I am consuming toxins in my mouth as well as on my body. One particular chapter really caught my eye about plastic and plasticizers (technical term: phthalates)

"What are plasticizers or phthalates?"

According to one of my favorite dictionaries, The Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary, plasticizers are a chemical added especially to rubbers and resins to impart flexibility, workability, or stretchability.

That made me think about how often I used plastic. Everything comes in plastic. When you go to the store the produce bags are plastic. When you buy bread it comes in plastic. Milk comes in plastic. Bottled water comes in plastic. Almost every single thing you buy is sold in a plastic container. Then I thought about my home. All my tupperware was plastic. My measuring cup was plastic. My spoons are plastic. Everything is plastic!!!

"What is plastic made from?"

Plastics are made from oil. Oil is a carbon-rich raw material, and plastics are large carbon-containing compounds. They're large molecules calledpolymers, which are composed of repeating units of shorter carbon-containing compounds called monomers. Chemists combine various types of monomers in many different arrangements to make an almost infinite variety of plastics with different chemical properties. Most plastic is chemically inert and will not react chemically with other substances -- you can store alcohol, soap, water, acid or gasoline in a plastic container without dissolving the container itself. Plastic can be molded into an almost infinite variety of shapes, so you can find it in toys, cups, bottles, utensils, wiring, cars, even in bubble gum. Plastics have revolutionized the world.-From HowStuffWorks

My next question was, "How do plasticizers or phthalates affect my body?"

According to the Body Burden case study, phthalates cause cancer.

DEHP (a type of phthalates) has been classified as a "probable human carcinogen" by the EPA.  The Department of Health and Human Services has also classified DEHP as a potential carcinogen.  That is to say, DEHP may reasonably be considered a cancer causing substance in humans. Rats and mice fed DEHP and DINP also showed an increase in liver cancers over animals that had not been fed the chemicals.
The offspring of rats separately fed three different phthalates, namely diethyl hexyl-, diisononyl- and butyl benzyl phthalate (DEHP, DINP and BBP, respectively), do not follow normal patterns of sexual development.  In the case of DEHP-fed and BBP-fed rats, the weight of the offspring was also reduced.  Other studies also report subtle effects of DEHP in the testes of young rats at very low levels.  High doses of diethyl phthalate (DEP) given to female rats have been shown to cause the growth of an extra rib in their offspring. Additionally, female animals exposed to DEP throughout their lives experience an elevated number of stillbirths.  According to a 1996 report from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), “No information is available regarding possible effects caused by diethyl phthalate if you breathe, eat, or drink it, or if it touches your skin.” This is a troubling statement given the diversity of products to which DEP is added.  Furthermore, it highlights the inadequate regulations for widely used commercial chemicals.

My very next question was, "What are the government regulations regarding phthalates?"

In 1999, prompted by the potential of babies to intake dangerous amounts of phthalates and the serious, negative health effects found in animal studies, the European Union placed an emergency ban on the use of certain phthalates in toys made for children under the age of three. This emergency ban was recently renewed.  In the United States, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Toy Manufacturers of America (TMA) agreed upon a voluntary limit of DEHP at 3% in pacifiers and teethers in 1986.  Later in 1998, the CPSC asked toy manufacturers to voluntarily withdraw vinyl teething rings and rattles containing the phthalate DINP from the market.  However, such voluntary agreements do not stop the use of, and children’s exposure to, hazardous or untested additives.  Similarly, adults are also exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals by using any number of phthalate-containing products.
Regulations are also in place for phthalates in plastics that come into contact with food such as during its processing, transportation and storage.  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) states that butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) and diisononyl phthalate (DINP) “may be safely used” at levels up to 1% and 43%, respectively.  Closer inspection, however, reveals provisions that are very likely to be broken.  For example, the regulation states that the plastics should be used “at temperatures not exceeding room temperature”.  This implies that warming food wrapped in plastic in a microwave may be considered unsafe -- a practice many in this country exercise on a daily basis.-The Body Burden case study.

That covered a few plasticizers only and it did not cover BPA. I notice that there are a lot of plastic products now that are labeled BPA free. BPA stands for bisphenol A, an industrial product that's been made since the 1960's and put into our plastic resins. It can be found in milk and water jugs and in canned food lining. Studies have been done on the plasticizer and have found the substance to be harmful to humans.

The very day I learned about phthalates I went out and bought widemouth glass mason jars.

Um, I don't want ANY of that near my food at all and I certainly don't want that in my body! I threw away most of my plastic cups and vowed to replace them soon with stainless steel cups. I started using more glass containers. Instead of toting around a plastic cup, I now use one of my mason jars and put a flexible coozy over it. I took my produce out of the plastic bags when I got home from the grocery store and put them in my crisper. I noticed that taking them out of plastic made the produce last longer anyway!

I no longer eat anything out of a can. I don't care if the label says BPA free on it or not. I do not regulate the plastic myself. I do not do the studies myself. I just know that if plastic is made from ANY chemical then I don't want it in or near my body. Period!

Until next time, keep watch on what you eat and what you put next to your body!

Journal | One Voice

May 24, 2013 at 9:19am
Prelude: My story is not unusual, but here it is.

Over the last decade I have been consistently ill. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes twice, diabetes, hypothyroidism, liver disease and kidney stones. This year I had a hysterectomy because of an illness. Recently, I have been diagnosed with a brain disorder that causes unexplained movement in my left hand.
I believe that our toxic food has contaminated my body. Lately I've been diligent about looking at the labels and making sure that NO GMOs enter my system. That's a hard thing to do if you're not educated, so I became educated and I'm telling everyone I know. I'm looking into detoxification by natural herbs.

I will win this war against Monsanto. It's down to you either get rid of GMOs or you die. Period.

I was just waiting to die. I went to see all my doctors like a good little patient. I took the medicines that they prescribed dutifully. I listened to their advice...

Hope had left me like my last breath had already been breathed.

And then Obama and my world crashed together like a mighty thunderstorm. I woke up screaming. I lay dormant no longer.

As an atheist I have no god to fall back on. My faith is in those I love. My faith is in the blue or gray sky above me and the smell of the earth. My faith is in the eyes of my children. I no longer saw my inner faith shining.

But that day...that day that I learned that the president, that I did have faith in, had betrayed my trust...that was the day that I woke up screaming and I lay dormant no longer.

The good, dutiful and obedient victim that I once was--was replaced with a need to scream, a need to do something--ANYTHING--that would set my soul on fire.

I have been living with pain for so long that I struggled to put one foot in front of the other, but my heart burned with the desire to make some sort of change.

Once the fountain of knowledge flooded my senses I couldn't stop my inner voice. It was screaming for something...I didn't yet know what it was, but I knew that my destiny was calling me like no other passion had sizzled through my bones and my brain better than electric shock therapy.

I felt a need to seek solace in a community of like minded individuals. I sought a group where I could make my voice boom.

My resolve began to quake and my voice started cracking and faltering. I shared my heartbreak with friends unlike any other time in my life. I found a quiet voice in my ear reminding me that I had one voice and that was all I needed. One voice carries even if its not screaming...

The light was back and it filled my soul until it was bursting. What I had been seeking this entire time was not medication in pill form, but the kind that heals from within. My heart began to sing a joyful song that I had long since feared was dead.

I was awake, no longer screaming. Tears stroked my cheeks like my grandmother did when I was little. The world, this wondrous world, was now blazing open. It was open for me and it opened just by the sound of my own voice.

Editorial | WWIII Over MONSANTO?

Read this article about the possibility of war over the US corporation Monsanto.

The article that you just read is about the possibility of Russia declaring war on the US over the Monsanto corporation.

War over Monsanto is something that has been in the back of my mind for a while now.

I've seen a couple of articles about it, but nothing quite like the one I suggested you read. Something just clicked in me this morning. Millions of people around the world protested against Monsanto this past May, thereby showing how the world is not taking Monsanto's thread to our food supply lightly. Many millions more are set to protest at this next one in October. Hundreds of thousands of farmers are committing suicide in India over bT cotton.  People all over the world are dying or are becoming sterile due to the toxic chemicals that the US has introduced into the food supply. I do not hold Monsanto responsible for these catastrophes. I hold the US government in contempt for turning their backs on the common people of this nation. It's obvious that the US government's allies are corporations that put the needs of elitists above the needs of the common man. The US government has had a revolving door with Monsanto. It is policies like these that the world is noticing.

I do feel like all animals and insects are in danger due to these pesticides and neonicotinoids (Neos), but I am especially concerned over the birds and the bees.

Just a few weeks ago thousands of bees were found dead in Oregon. Last week the beekeeping industry brought a lawsuit against the EPA. Without bees our food supply will dwindle. I'm concerned that Neos can alter the gender of amphibians and what that could mean after more long term studies of GE foods are completed.  I'm also concerned about what potential affects these biochemicals are doing to our environment. I've been thinking about this since I viewed this video (see our collection of videos) about how the biochemicals are affecting the environment in Kauai.  As you may or may not know, all the Hawaiian islands are the Ground Zero of Biotech chemicals. The coral reefs are starting to become diseased and are dying.  Another good film to watch is Prophets of Doom. It discusses the imminent fall of America. In the movie they discuss water and energy as being possible downfalls, but I thoroughly believe that wars over food and water will be America's downfall.

While lots of people will be incredulous, I believe that war is a real danger.

Russia has a lot of allies, the Middle East will find any excuse it can to fight us, and Europe is rationalizing the need to ban more and more biotech companies. These countries all have their fair share of nuclear bombs (<-- Click link to see what countries have bombs and how many they have) and they will not want to use bio warfare due to the very reason they will attack, but the US will not consider that a hinderance. In WWII the US used nerve gas, in Vietnam they used Agent Orange and in the Iraq war they used bio warfare. Because Monsanto will be backing the US, you know there will be something bigger and nastier that will be used for this war. That will mean the death of many more people around the world.

Don't get mad, GET ACTIVE!

*HOW YOU CAN HELP* in Austin

I invite you ALL to join us in the screening of "More Than Honey" that is showing on Aug. 18th. It will further enlighten us about how the extinction of bees will lead to a world wide food extinction. Tickets are $10 and it will be shown at Alamo Drafthouse Village that Sunday evening. MAMAustin plans on setting up a film festival to educate others about the importance and  immediacy of the dangers of Monsanto and other biotech companies. The highlight of our film festival will be "The World According to Monsanto" movie viewing and forum with an expert panel. We also invite you to be involved and join us at our next activist meeting on Friday, July 18th at 6:30pm at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin (Click to view all events).

How you can help elsewhere

Research all you can on these topics. Watch documentaries (start with our YouTube channel where you'll find many playlists). Share all the Monsanto material you can get your hands on! Tell everyone you know about what you know.

I hope that MAMAustin can count on your support to help us fight the US government on this important issue.

In the meantime, remember to eat organic, local, grow your own and vote with your dollar!
